BACF stands for/or short for "Black Agricultural Commodities Federation", a federation that comprises of 7 other commodities. Namely: African Game Ranchers Association (AGRA), African Poultry Producers (APP), Deciduous Fruit Development Chamber (DDC), National Emergent Red Meat Producers Organisation (NERPO), South African Farmers Development Association (SAFDA), South African Grain Farmers Association (SAGRA) and Livestock Stock Wealth (LSW).
Through just and efficient institutional development, self-sufficient financial support, and innovative socioeconomic development of commodity organizations, particularly for Black communities, the goal is to build sustainable and equitable agricultural and rural prosperity.
No. The Federation will strive to give every member-farmer in whatever commodity they belong to, a voice and dignity, recognizing their individual and collective dignity. The Federation is the beginning of a society-wide coalition for social, institutional, environmental, moral, relational and economic justice.
Benefits will be provided by BACF through its dependable commodities based on the commodity to which you, as a farmer, belong. Other advantages, including training and mentoring, can be attained directly through BACF, though.
You are already a member of BACF if you belong to one of its Commodities. It won't be necessary for you to re-register.
